SOLVE IT, the Kettering based charity and Children's Fund
initiative has just had some very good news. The Queen has
accepted the recommendation of the Home Secretary and awarded
SOLVE IT The Queens Golden Jubilee Award for Voluntary Service
by Groups in the Community.
This is one of only 110 such awards made throughout the UK,
and is designed to acknowledge and reward the work such groups
undertake for the benefit of the community.
SOLVE IT has only been a registered charity for just under
3 years, and is pleased and honoured to receive this award.
SOLVE IT will be presented with a certificate signed by The
Queen and a commemorative crystal at a later date by The Lord
Lieutenant of Northamptonshire, and will attend a reception
at St James Palace on 19th July.

We believe the award is to be used not just as a reward for
SOLVE IT but also as a big thank you to all those individuals,
agencies, funding bodies and businesses that have supported
SOLVE IT and the work we do.
Not only does the award raise the profile of SOLVE IT but
it is also an opportunity to remind people of the work that
is undertaken by the voluntary sector every day for the good
of the community in general, because for SOLVE IT, like so
many other agencies - the work goes on.
