| Senior managers from the Somerfield supermarket chain have
been learning how they can play their part in the fight against
volatile substance abuse.
Store managers from the Midlands were made aware of the dangers
- and the threat to young lives - caused by solvent abuse
when they attended a presentation given by SOLVE IT.
We hope that Somerfield have set a new trend - prompting
more supermarket chains, and many other retailers and businesses
to come forward and learn more about the serious threat posed
by solvent abuse.
"I am delighted that so many people from Somerfield
took the time to come and listen to the presentation"
said Steve Lambert SOLVE IT's head of Marketing and Funding.
"This shows responsibility not just to finding out more
about the dangers that some products can cause if they fall
into the wrong hands, but a responsibility too, to the well
being of their customers and the community they serve."
"Products that can be abused are widley available and
supermarkets have a legal and moral responsibility to help
prevent them being sold to people, who could die from abusing
them" |
