In recent months the 'innocent highs of methadrone' has been the subject of much media attention. However, the fact remains that the 'innocent highs' of Volatile Substance Abuse (VSA) kills more children and young people aged 10 - 15 years than all other illegal drugs put together. VSA is also an ever increasing factor in relation to the issuing of anti-social behaviour orders.
‘Innocent Highs… Dispelling The Myths’ is the title of the 2011 SOLVE IT Annual Conference.
Now in its 21st year, the charity, SOLVE IT, remains a leading service provider in relation to VSA.
With a particular focus on early intervention, the conference is aimed particularly at those working in the areas of education, health, social exclusion, truancy, anti-social behaviour, and crime and disorder.
Through a series of plenary sessions and seminars delegates will have an opportunity to explore the challenges faced and the possible solutions. They will also hear first hand accounts from families affected by VSA and those who have recovered from substance abuse.
